At Ski Chamois we run Hotel les Chamois as a Jumbo Chalet during winter, ideal for groups, individuals and families alike. There is always someone of your skiing ability to ski and socialise with.
The Skiing:
We are situated at the top of the Nyon cable car on the Nyon Plateau 1500 metres.This literally giving us the perfect 'doorstep skiing' and access to the Portes du Soleil Ski Area ranging from 1,000 to 2,000m with a 230 plus lifts system. This wonderful varied ski area consisting of 84 plus blue green runs, 56 red runs and 22 black runs. We do run a ski hosting service for those who would like the company of other skiers to ski with or for those who are on holiday on there own which is a great way to meet and socialise with others.
Chalet guests will appreciate the pleasant Alpine ambience
and facilities offered. We have a cosy bar with a large welcoming fireplace and an extensive selection of Beverages, an attractive dining room offering breathtaking panoramic views across the valley.
The Hotel:
The chalet is pleasantly informal so please don't expect hotel style
service. Apart from our professional chefs, it is run by hard working enthusiasts chosen for their pleasant personalities and willingness to work in order to do a 'Season in the Alps'. We ask you to treat them with friendliness and courtesy.
Meals:
Our daily menu is written and prepared by first class chefs
who are all capable professionals. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served 8.00-9.00am and 5.00-5.30pm respectively, with a three course dinner served in the evening. There is a choice of main course for the evening meal, one of which is vegetarian, and it is accompanied by a plentiful supply of bottled wine.
Please note that your main course choice must be made in the morning before you set out for a day of FUN.
Bedrooms:
The majority of the bedrooms are very spacious and provide great views. We have fifteen bedrooms, thirteen of which have shower/wash basin ensuite, two smaller doubles have private bathrooms. There are seven toilets. Nine bedrooms are family rooms with four beds (a few of these are used as three's at no additional cost). Two bedrooms are twins and four are doubles.
Children:
We welcome children and offer generous discounts. With
the exception of certain special event evenings, children are asked to
use the upstairs lounge after 7.00pm when the bar becomes an adult only
area. Parents of younger children are advised that we can provide an earlier
supper at 6.00pm.
Apres Ski:
Located on the mountain, you might be forgiven for thinking that apres ski could be a little limited. Not with Ski Chamois!
Our latest addition to the chalet is Inferno bar restaurant. The restaurant opens to the public for lunch serving an Aussie-style gourmet burgers and hot warming soups. The apres ski kicks off with happy hour prices 15:30 - 17:00 in our bar and extends onto our terrace for those that have the party spirit in them.
Entertaiment:
We host a regular disco, quiz night, games night and live music night in our reasonably priced bar which often remains open into the wee small hours.
A large TV lounge. For kids, or the grown ups that need a little chill out time, we have a lounge area upstairs with an extensive and up-to-date selection of DVDs, plasma screen tv, football table, playstation2, WiNi, books and board games.
On staff night off we can recommend restaurants in Morzine and, if you wish to eat as a group, we can make the booking for you. We will also arrange for the cable car to open at a prearranged time for your return - but don't miss it!
There are Wireless Network & fax facilities in the chalet.
Non Smoking: Due to client demand we are continuing to make the
chalet non smoking.
